What is God's Requirement for Eternal Life?

John 6:47-51 “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes has eternal life. Yes, I am the bread of life! Your ancestors ate manna in the wilderness, but they all died. Anyone who eats the bread from heaven, however, will never die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Anyone who eats this bread will live forever; and this bread, which I will offer so the world may live is, my flesh.”

Our requirement for eternal life is to believe that God is Jesus in the flesh, He died on the cross to pay for our sins, we are not perfect and need a Savior, and He rose from the dead three days later. Once we place our trust, faith, and hope in Him then we are made right and reconciled with God. The need for God is evident in the world around us. We are living in a fallen world, but you can place your hope in Christ and be assured of where you are going after this life.

Everything in this world is temporary and soon Christ will come to redeem His people. It will not be wise to wait and say “oh, I need time to live out my life”. The time to really live your best life is now.

Tomorrow is never guaranteed for the young or the old. We see this every day. One moment someone is here and the next day they are not. Are you 100% comfortable in your answer if I were to ask “Where are you going after this life?”.

God is waiting for us, once again, to choose Him through Jesus. All we have to do is believe.
