Ephesians 4:2 Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.
I never really knew there was a difference between waiting and being patient. I thought if you were waiting then you are automatically being patient. The difference is in how you wait. #Patience is the restraint or self-control shown towards other people or during a circumstance.
It does not mean we do not feel an urgency, but we do not act out on it. For example, waiting patiently in line at the grocery store means that you are not complaining and grumbling. If you’re doing either one, then you’re just waiting.
Patience does not give way to fury, bitterness, pride, or self-interests.
